Capitol Concierge CEO Lynda Ellis Honored with “Women Who Mean Business” Award by Washington Business Journal

WASHINGTON, DC, October 13, 2009 – Capitol Concierge, Inc., the nation’s leading commercial concierge service provider, announced today that company owner, president and CEO Lynda Ellis has been honored with the “Women Who Mean Business” award by Washington Business Journal. This award “represents women from every industry and profession who have made a difference in their communities, blazed a trail for the rest of us and are leaving a mark on Washington.” This year’s award recipients will be recognized at a cocktail reception at The Four Seasons in Washington, DC on November 19, 2009.

Lynda Ellis was selected for this award for her professional accomplishments, contributions and positive influence in the business community, as well as for her philanthropic efforts. Lynda’s dedication to Capitol Concierge’s clients, employees, partners and community has helped the company succeed, with significant growth year over year since she purchased the company in 2007. With Lynda’s leadership and guidance, Capitol Concierge has become synonymous with best-in-class service, setting the gold standard in customer service excellence and professionalism. Lynda is heavily involved in many industry organizations. She is a member of the Apartment and Office Building Association (AOBA), the Washington, DC Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), in which she sits on the ACT Committee, the TOBY Award Committee, and chairs the Education and Marketing Committees. She was also recently named Vice President of the Capitol Speakers Club, and is a member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni, for which she donates both financial and labor support.

Lynda’s community outreach has also made a significant difference. She regularly contributes time, labor and financial support to the Special Education James E. Duckworth School, the Lupus Foundation, the St. James Thrift Shop the American Cancer Society.
