Capitol Concierge Fights Lung Cancer by Supporting the LUNGevity Foundation Through Volunteer Hours and Participation in the Suzi Carmassi Golf Classic

WASHINGTON, DC, October 20, 2009 – Capitol Concierge, the nation’s largest concierge service provider for commercial office properties, upscale apartments and condominiums, shopping malls, private corporations and individuals, has joined the fight against lung cancer in its participation in the Suzi Carmassi Golf Classic fundraiser for the LUNGevity Foundation. The event was held on Monday, October 19th at the Whiskey Creek Golf Course in Ijamsville, MD. Capitol Concierge donated a beverage cart for the event, along with volunteer time to man the cart. The company’s leadership also enjoyed a round of golf, donating the fees to the Foundation.

“We’re so pleased that we’ve been able to help support such a worthy cause as the fight against cancer,” said Capitol Concierge Executive VP Robert Thompson. “The Suzi Carmassi Golf Classic has been an extremely successful fundraiser, not only because so many of us share a passion for golf, but because it’s a way to gather people together to reflect on the need for continued lung cancer research and treatment.” The Suzi Carmassi Golf Classic was held in memory of the late Suzi Carmassi who passed away after a four-year battle with lung cancer. The event raises funds in Suzi’s name to benefit the LUNGevity Foundation and Loudoun Hospice.
