Capitol Concierges Make Holidays Brighter for 30 Local “Angels”

WASHINGTON, DC, December 14, 2012 – Capitol Concierge, the nation’s largest provider of concierge services, is giving back through its Capitol Cares corporate philanthropy program in many ways this holiday season, including by collecting and delivering gifts to 30 area children in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program.

“We can’t think of a more rewarding way to celebrate this season of giving than by making the holidays a little happier for these children from local families in need,” says Misty Moreno, Vice President of Capitol Concierge.

Ms. Moreno and Corporate Recruiter David Echeverria delivered a van-full of gifts to the Salvation Army’s DC headquarters yesterday, for distribution to its participating families. Children 12 and under from qualifying families are designated Angels through this annual program. The Salvation Army participates in the “Clearing House,” a local program that ensures no duplication of gifts or efforts among all the nonprofits providing support to families at this time of year.

“Our concierges and corporate staff came together with their usual enthusiasm and generosity to make this possible,” adds Moreno. “Our passion for SERVICE extends beyond our valued clients to those less fortunate. Capitol Concierge employees have pledged to donate 3,000 volunteer hours to the Billion + Change initiative to strengthen our communities in 2013 as part of our Capitol Cares program.
