Howard County Chamber of Commerce Names Lynda Ellis as Businessperson of the Year

COLUMBIA, Md., May 31, 2024—Capitol Concierge, a leading provider of concierge service to employers and commercial and residential properties, is proud to announce that its CEO, Lynda Ellis, has been honored with the Howard County Chamber of Commerce’s most prestigious annual award—Businessperson of the Year. 

The Awards for Chamber Excellence (ACE Awards), held on May 29 during the Howard County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, highlights businesses and individuals who have contributed to their field, achieved extraordinary success, and generally improved the business community. 

“The Howard County Chamber is thrilled to recognize Lynda Ellis as our Businessperson of the Year,” said Kristi Simon, Howard County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. “Lynda is a well-respected leader in our region, donates her time to numerous worthy causes, and, as CEO at Capitol Concierge, has led tremendous growth and expansion. We are fortunate to have such an incredible individual in our organization, and it is our honor to recognize her for her achievements.”

Lynda’s visionary leadership and relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence have propelled Capitol Concierge to new heights. Beyond her corporate walls, she is on the Howard County Maryland Chamber of Commerce Board and serves on the Chamber’s Legislative Committee. Additionally, she is Chair of the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) and the Board Chair of St. Mary’s University—San Antonio’s Board of Trustees. She is an active member of The American Red Cross Tiffany Circle, working with other philanthropic women to make a difference in the community.
